How to Get Diamonds Fast — Farming Guide

Diamonds are the premium currency in Dino Kid, 99 Nights in the Forest — the one thing standing between you and every locked class. Here is every source ranked by how much it actually pays, plus the Cultist Stronghold loop that turns a one-off drip into a renewable farm.

Diamonds or Gems? They are the same currency

This trips up almost every new player. The Classes screen prices everything in Gems, while code rewards, chests and guides all say Diamonds. There is no second currency to chase — the numbers line up exactly. Whatever the UI calls it, the same pile unlocks the Assassin at 500 and the Cyborg at 600.

  • Diamonds are saved to your Roblox account, not the run — dying never costs you any.
  • Class unlocks are permanent. Buy once, use in every future run.
  • Candy and Candy Canes are separate event-only currencies for seasonal classes.

High-tier chests1 · rare dropGold, Legendary, Ruby, Iron, Cold and Ice chests can each hide one.

Rough ceiling with a clean loop: about 15 Diamonds an hour from Stronghold runs, and roughly double that when a 2x weekend is running. Robux bundles exist (20 for 99 Robux up to 700 for 2,500) but grinding beats them on value unless you simply want to skip ahead.

The Cultist Stronghold loop (best method)

1 · Find it on the map

One Cultist Stronghold spawns per game, marked with a diamond icon on your Map. In some runs it stays sealed until your campfire reaches Level 4, so rush campfire upgrades first.

2 · Kit out before it opens

The Stronghold opens on a ~20 minute timer. Use that window for a ranged weapon, ammo, food and fuel — and skip everything else. Set a timer so you are at the door when it unlocks.

3 · Fight upward with range

Clear waves floor by floor to the top. Ranged weapons win here — shoot from cover instead of walking into archer fire. Prioritise crossbow cultists, and kite melee enemies back downstairs to pick them off.

4 · Loot, then reroll the server

The top floor hides the treasure room with the Ruby and Diamond Chest — at least 5 Diamonds, banked instantly. Each successful raid makes the next one harder, so leave and start a fresh run to keep clears fast.

Stronghold tips that actually change the payout

  • Farm solo. Enemy count scales with player count, but the Diamond Chest pays the same either way.
  • Never let difficulty stack. Restarting after a clear is faster than beating a Level 3 Stronghold.
  • The Deer cannot follow you inside — the Stronghold doubles as a panic room at night.
  • Carry a backup weapon. Reloading in an open room with archers alive is how most runs end.
  • Visit the Pelt Trader on Day 2 with a bunny pelt for the Good Sack — more carry space per trip.

Best classes for farming Diamonds

Ranger — 70 Gems

Starts with a Revolver and 18 ammo plus a flashlight. The cheapest reliable entry into ranged Stronghold farming.

Alien — 100 Gems

The Ray Gun never runs out of ammo and night visibility improves. It overheats, so carry a Revolver or Rifle to cover the cooldown.

Medic — 40 Gems

Two Bandages and faster revives. The safest budget pick if you raid with friends rather than solo.

Cyborg — 600 Gems

Endgame goal: Alien Armour and the Laser Cannon, which shreds cultists in a couple of hits. Farm toward this one.

Free Diamonds without the grind

  • Codes — forestwakesup26 pays 15 Diamonds and 3 random Flames; afterparty pays another 15.
  • Update Parties — join the special lobby servers on Saturday about an hour before the weekly update. Admins scatter Diamonds around the campfire; you just walk over them.
  • Badge sweep — a fresh account can clear 50+ Diamonds worth of easy badges in one sitting: survive 10 days, defend the campfire, upgrade it, grow plants.
  • Rescue the missing kids early — a maxed Day Multiplier pushes you to the Day 50 and Day 99 milestones far faster.
  • “Yay fishing” — a one-time 2 Diamonds for typing it in chat mid-cast. Small, but free.

What should you spend them on first?

Buy a cheap ranged class before anything else — Ranger at 70 Gems pays for itself by making every future Stronghold run faster and safer. Resist saving straight for the 600-Gem Cyborg from zero; the mid-tier picks compound your farming speed, and the expensive classes arrive much sooner once your clears are quick and consistent.
