Biome Refresher — 99 Nights Update Recap

The Dino Kid Biome Refresher update is live — a pass over the game’s weaker biomes. Here is everything confirmed so far, and what has been verified since launch.

What is confirmed

Official name and dates

The update is officially titled "Biome Refresher". It went live Saturday, August 22 at 1:00 PM ET and is scheduled to run about a week, ending around 2:00 PM ET on Saturday, August 29 (Stealthy Gaming, AllThings.How).

It improves weaker biomes — not a new area

The event description confirms the developers are improving biomes that felt less useful or less rewarding, rather than adding one big new feature or region. Sportskeeda adds a concrete detail: the less-dangerous biomes are the focus, with many more items and more content becoming available across them — so areas players used to skip are now worth revisiting.

More consistent content and items

The goal is a more even range of content and items across all biomes, so players stop skipping weak areas and farming only the most rewarding ones.

Already over 440,000 players interested

Interest passed about 443,000 RSVPs before the event even started — a strong turnout that keeps the Saturday-afternoon opening rhythm the developer has used for recent drops (AllThings.How).

Follows the Kids Have Jobs update

Biome Refresher is the update after Kids Have Jobs (August 8–15, 2026), which expanded the kid job mechanic to all four kids and drew over 600,000 interested players.

Diamond Party before launch

The developers held a Diamond Party before the update released — the same Saturday 1:00 PM ET window as the weekly Update Party. Joining from the very start earned 10+ free Diamonds plus developer-spawned items like the Admin Axe and the Admin Sack. Normal drops were disabled while admins showered the lobby with loot (Sportskeeda, Eldorado).

Confirmed live — player counts stay strong

The Biome Refresher is confirmed running from August 22 through August 30 (Studio Krew’s August tracker lists it as live). The game still pulls big numbers: a 315,000-concurrent spike on August 19 and roughly 200,000 active players around launch week, with about 443,000 players having marked themselves interested in the event before it started (Studio Krew, RBLX News, AllThings.How).

What to check now that it’s live

  • Revisit the less-dangerous biomes you usually skip — they now carry more items and content, so old farming routes may be outdated (Sportskeeda).
  • Check if item drops feel more balanced across biomes compared with your old farming routes.
  • Watch for new or adjusted biome-specific content, items and recipes.
  • Join a fresh server if the refreshed content does not appear, and compare survival runs in the improved biomes.

Verified since launch

Part 1 — Snow Biome pass (Aug 22)

Owl’s Nest feather loop + Ice Bow

Feathers now turn in at the Owl’s Nest for a Forest Gem Fragment, Cultist Gems and the Ice Bow — a ranged weapon with an icy slowing effect.

Bell Tower + Ice Temple Boost Pad

Ringing the Bell Tower bell slows the Snow Biome freeze meter, and the Ice Temple now holds a Boost Pad Recipe Tablet for an upgraded Boost Pad.

Boar Helmet + three badges

Boars drop Boar Tusks used in a defensive Boar Helmet recipe (with poison immunity). Three new official badges shipped: Nestbuilding (Owl’s Nest reward), Aerodynamics (Boost Pad Tablet) and Bellringing (ring the bell).

Part 2 — Jungle Biome refresh (Aug 29)

Refreshed terrain & routes

Part 2 revisits the Jungle Biome with refreshed terrain and updated exploration routes around its temples, ruins and treehouse areas, making the deeper jungle easier to navigate.

Jungle Pits & new mobs

New Jungle Pits are wave-clearing arenas that drop the Log Wall Recipe Tablet and a Duelling badge. The Cat Entity (a fast lunging hostile) and the Mossy Mammoth joined the biome’s roster.

Temples, the Mother Temple quest, Poison Claws, Poison Armor and every Jungle inhabitant are covered in our standalone Jungle Biome guide.
