How to find and clear the Cultist Stronghold for Ruby and Diamond Chests, farm Cultist Gems, and summon and beat the Cultist King boss in Dino Kid for his Infernal-tier drops.

The Cultist Stronghold
- ▸One Stronghold spawns per run, shown by a three-diamond map icon. In some runs it stays sealed until campfire Level 4, so rush campfire upgrades on Day 1–3.
- ▸It is a three-floor structure: each floor holds Melee and Crossbow Cultists. Clear upward with ranged weapons and use cover — archers punish anyone who walks into the open.
- ▸The top floor hides the treasure room. The Stronghold refreshes on a timer (roughly every 20–30 minutes), so the Ruby and Diamond Chests respawn — making this the best repeatable Diamond farm in the game.
- ▸The Deer cannot enter the Stronghold. If you are caught in the forest at night with no clear path home, sprint toward it — it doubles as a panic room.
| Chest | Top loot | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Ruby Chest | Tactical Shotgun, Kunai, Riot Shield, Thorn Body, Gem of Forest Fragment | Downgrades to Gold after the first looter — be first |
| Diamond Chest | 5 Diamonds | The best repeatable Diamond source — respawns each refresh |
| Infiltration badge | 2★, 4D difficulty | Awarded for clearing the Stronghold |
Cultist Gems — farming & uses
Cultist Gems are the late-game material that gates the Cultist King and the highest-tier structures. Farm them from these sources, then spend them on crafting benches, Level-4/5 buildings, night-skips, or the King summon (4 gems).
Cultist Stronghold
The most reliable source. Clearing the three floors yields Cultist Gems, and the Stronghold resets every ~20 minutes for repeat farming.
Nighttime raids
Roughly every four nights a Cultist raid hits your camp; defeating the final cultist guarantees a gem drop.
Fishing
Random gem drops when fishing the Algal Pond or Bone Pond with any rod.
Chests & labs
Gold Chests, the Cultist Laboratory and smaller Cultist Bases (4 Melee + 2 Crossbow) also drop them occasionally.
The Cultist King — summon & fight
The Cultist King spawns in the Cultist King Base, a massive church-like castle in the Volcanic Biome. He towers over normal cultists, wears a red horned mask, and wields a golden mace. He has no cooldown, so a full gem stack means another run at his loot.

How to beat him
The King is melee-only with a heavy golden mace. Use a Rifle, Crossbow or Tactical Shotgun and run while shooting — avoid closing distance.
The simplest kill: bait him to a lava river in the Volcanic Biome, drop his HP low, then shoot from the edge.
He follows your steps. Loop him around a tree, rock or building so he gets stuck, then pick him off safely.
Wolves, Polar Bears or Hellephants fight on your command and soak his hits while you kite.
Where the guides disagree
- !Cultist King Mace — Sportskeeda explicitly states it is NOT a normal Cultist King drop and only appears during Admin Abuse events, while a few smaller guides list it as a boss drop. We left it out rather than repeat an unverified claim.
- !King HP — most guides estimate ~1000 HP (double a Hellephant), but the exact value is not published by the developer. Treat it as a rough benchmark, not a confirmed stat.
- !Stronghold timer — sources give 20–30 minutes between refreshes. The Stronghold also gets harder each clear, so most players restart the run rather than push a Level-3 Stronghold.
Summon, fight and loot details cross-checked against Sportskeeda, OfZenAndComputing, BO3.gg and RBLXGuide. Conflicting figures (King HP, Mace drop) are listed above rather than averaged. Mechanics can change with any update — last reviewed 2026-09-05.
