Hedge Maze Guide — Halloween Part 3 (99 Nights)

The Dino Kid Hedge Maze is the grand finale of the Halloween 2026 event: a carnival lobby, three Carnival Minigames to earn Tickets, and the Haunted Maze at the centre. The Hedge Maze Refresh went live on October 31, 2026 — here is what changed, what it pays and how to clear it.

Event window

The developer’s Roblox event listing scheduled the "Hedge Maze Refresh" for Oct 31, 17:00 UTC through Nov 7, 10:30 UTC, and the Oct 31 patch notes confirm it shipped on that day. Some guides still quote a Nov 1 – Nov 8 window — the Oct 31 → Nov 7 dates are the ones that matched the live build. All Hedge Maze content and Halloween currencies disappear when the event ends, so spend your Candies before Nov 7.

What the Hedge Maze Refresh changed (Oct 31)

The official patch notes describe a rebuilt Haunted Maze rather than a re-run: "The hedges are more dangerous, the paths less predictable, and plenty of new surprises are waiting for those brave enough to venture inside." Four changes are listed:

How to unlock the Hedge Maze

  1. 1. Get the Carnival Event

Play during Part 3 of the Halloween update (which guarantees the event) or use a Carnival Fire to force the Carnival Event to spawn in every run. Without it, the maze will not appear.

  2. 2. Win three Carnival Minigames

Scattered through the transformed carnival lobby are several machines, each a unique puzzle or challenge. Complete all three Carnival Minigames to earn three Carnival Tickets — the key to the maze entrance. Each game also pays up to five Halloween Candies.

  3. 3. Enter the maze

Once all three tickets are collected the maze entrance unlocks (marked by a visual effect or an opened gate). Step in to navigate the twisting, dark paths toward the Vampire Chest.

The three Carnival Minigames

The Carnival appears on Day 3 near your campfire ("The Carnival is in town" message, bright tents and music). Each booth pays one Carnival Ticket plus about five Candies once you hit its score — and the three Tickets automatically open the maze gate, no manual use needed. Timers start on your first successful throw or hit:

What is inside the maze

Community mapping (99 Nights Fandom wiki) describes the layout below. The Oct 31 refresh reworked the maze and added new traps, so use these as landmarks rather than a fixed map.

Vampire Chest & Maze Chest

A Vampire Chest waits at the end of the maze, with a second Maze Chest also at the finish. These are the headline loot nodes.

Four Spooky Chests

Hidden on dead ends around the maze — worth the detour since the maze gives at least 19 from the Spooky Chests and the Vampire House combined.

Glowing Pumpkin plots & Vampire House

Two farm plots grow Glowing Pumpkins (they glow at night), and the Vampire House can be trick-or-treated during the morning. A costume closet and a tiny grave room round out the side rooms.

Happy the Halloween Guy

The first lobby NPC to appear inside a match — Happy lies near the entrance. The maze spawns on Day 3 in Level 3–4 Campfire areas and is guided by lamps and arrows.

The center: coffin guarded by an Alpha Wolf

Multiple guide walkthroughs agree on the finish: an Alpha Wolf guards a coffin at the maze center. Defeat it, open the coffin (hold E) for the headline weapon — usually the Scythe or Bouncing Blade — then leave through the wooden hatch behind it. Red arrows on the hedges can mislead; the right-hand wall rule is a safe fallback.

Expected rewards

ScytheMelee weapon — extended attack reach
Vampire CloakExclusive cosmetic outfit
Morning Star HammerBlunt weapon — heavy damage
Bouncing BladeUnique throwing weapon

Halloween Shop classes (post-Refresh)

Three limited-time classes sit in the Halloween Shop during the event. Candy comes from Trick or Treat, the carnival minigames and maze chests; everything here is gone once the event closes on Nov 7.
